Honoring determination and progress—students awarded under the Nayi Udaan Protsahan initiative by Ruma Devi Foundation in Barmer for their inspiring academic journey.

In a heartfelt effort to uplift students who face academic challenges, the Ruma Devi Foundation, in collaboration with the Gramin Vikas evam Chetna Sansthan, has launched a powerful new initiative titled “Nayi Udaan” (New Flight). The aim of this program is to recognize and encourage those students who have shown significant improvement in their studies despite difficult circumstances.

The program officially began on January 27, including students up to 12th grade from across Barmer district. In its first phase, 20 students from 20 different schools were selected and honored within their schools with a cash reward of ₹3,000 and a certificate of appreciation. This gesture was designed to boost the morale of students and motivate them to stay focused on their education.

In the next phase, the initiative plans to distribute a total of ₹5 lakh in encouragement funds, further supporting deserving students and reinforcing the idea that hard work and dedication deserve recognition—no matter the background.

Ruma Devi, social activist and brand ambassador of Rajeevika, shared that “Nayi Udaan is not just financial aid—it’s a step toward building self-belief and transforming attitudes through the power of education.”

This program is quickly becoming a symbol of hope and motivation for students in rural areas, proving that even the smallest push in the right direction can lead to lasting impact.
